Building Strong Teams and Putting Customers First: Gilbert Alvarado Joins Agri-Service
Agri-Service is proud to welcome a familiar face in the ag equipment world to our team—Gilbert Alvarado, our new Kimberly Branch Manager, who officially joined us in May. With over two decades of experience in the industry and a strong track record of building high-performing teams, he’s already bringing new energy and leadership to our Kimberly location.
A Lifelong Connection to Agriculture
Born and raised in Burley, Idaho, agriculture has always been part of Gilbert’s life. “In a small town like Burley, you’re going to be involved in ag,” he said. From a young age, he was fascinated with how things worked—often tearing machines apart just to put them back together. That drive to fix and figure things out hasn’t changed.
One of his proudest early moments? Fixing a car for his mom after a major electrical failure. He asked if he could keep it in exchange for the repair—and that rebuilt car became his first ride. A hands-on, can-do attitude eventually led him into the world of equipment maintenance and repair, where he found his professional calling.
From Technician to Team Leader
He spent 20 years sharpening his skills as a technician and precision ag specialist. Over the years, he became known as the “GPS guy,” supporting customers and co-workers alike with his deep understanding of farm tech. His leadership potential soon became clear, leading him to service management roles with different ag equipment dealers in the region.
What drew Gilbert to Agri-Service? A desire to be part of a company that puts structure, support, and customer service at the center of its mission. He takes great pride in building strong teams and fostering a positive culture. He wants every employee here to feel supported—and every customer to feel well taken care of. That only happens when the entire team communicates well and acts with urgency.
Looking Ahead in Kimberly
As the new Branch Manager, he’s focused on setting the tone for teamwork and service excellence. He believes in leading by example and empowering his team to go the extra mile.
“The customer always comes first,” he said. “And it’s not just about saying that—it’s about making sure the customer can feel it. Whether it’s parts, service, or sales, our goal is to respond fast, follow through, and deliver value every step of the way.”
Life Outside the Shop
Away from work, Gilbert enjoys the Idaho outdoors with his wife of 26 years. They’re nearly empty nesters now, with five kids and a new family dog likely on the horizon. You might find them boating, fishing, camping, BBQ-ing, or even exploring local shops—something he admits his wife has turned into one of their favorite shared pastimes. “She turned me into a shopper,” he joked. “Now we make a day of it.”
Please join us in welcoming Gilbert to the Agri-Service team! If you’re in the Kimberly area, be sure to stop by and say hello.
